Packet Radio Links
This set of links came about after I discovered that it would be very easy for me to renew the Amateur Radio license I got when I was younger. In fact, because of regulation changes the license would be valid for transmitting on more frequencies than when I first got it.
One of the things I looked into was the possibility of high powered packet radio - which was a forerunner of the internet and preceded the internet ! I was also interested in long range wireless protocols.... Seeing if I could extend the broadband internet connection at work to my house using a high powered wireless link on the amateur frequencies. As some of these links show, it probably is possible - but I decided I didn't have the time to pursue it :-( you can only have so many hobbies.....
