I'm just attempting to enable comments on my blog. Not that I ever say anything for people to comment about of course :-)

It might be of more interest in my technical blog. I heard a rumour that it might be possible to blog by email - which would certainly be more convenient..... on no, I've just realised - this is another 'blog about blogging' aaargh.....

(1) comments Hurrah..... it's nearly the weekend.. and no work till Tuesday. Things are really looking up this summer. I currently have my biggest ever customer sitting in my office going over laminated floor beam designs. My biggest customer last year spent 100 grand... he's nearly spend that much in three months ! Great - shame I don't get commission. :-)

I've just got permission to visit my wife's family in Romania... despite the chaos in the sales office I will be dissapearing off for two weeks.. I'm *quite* looking forward - it will be great to see mountains after so many years of waiting... *but* the only words of Romanian I speak certainly don't bear saying in front of her parents.

It's also our big bank holiday celebration this weekend - we have 13 visitors in our house this weekend - pheweeee.

It's glorious weather outside, summer has crash landed early in Middle England... and I'm stuck indoors selling bricks with a cold. Actually, to be fair - I'm finding ever more innovative ways to *avoid* selling bricks - but I have got a cold.

Well.......... I wonder if this is going to work. It's been some time since I've posted - they restricted our web access at work and my only home access is via a really flaky dial up thingy on a naff computer.

I've found a 'work-around' (or for the pendantic a 'not-work' around 'whilst I'm at work') that let's me get this far - whether the post will ever appear or not is another matter !

Anyway - life is still good, work is difficult (team member left suddenly, struggling to replace him, the other member of my little sales kingdom is flaky), marriage *still* blissful after 9-months... Good God - nearly a year and she still hasn't seen through me.

Haven't done much on the website for a while - FTP access is now tricky.... I've a *load* of pictures to upload, but will probably have to get a friend to do it. Most of my efforts have been on my Python projects - see Pythonutils.... but I guess you don't want to know about that or you'd be reading the techie blog !
