Paradigm Drift
Voidspace continues the gradual drift towards the new style [1]
.
There are 4 new articles online :
- Mindfulness of Breathing - a meditation on concentration.
- Duck Typing in Python - a discussion of typing and a rant on duck typing.
- Data Persistence with ConfigObj - a discussion on using ConfigObj for data persistence.
- Spam Trap - a new (?) approach to tackling junk email...
Far more importantly - the new galleries are online
. Go immediately to :
The Voidspace Galleries
Due to all these changes the sitemap is getting a bit out of date. The next change will need to wait for the rest2web plugin system - which will autogenerate the sitemap. Hopefully this will be soon....
In other website related news - I've moved Voidspace over to a virtual dedicated server - which means I'm completely responsible for setting up and maintaining the server [2]. This was actually one of easiest server moves I've had - surprisingly smooth.
Unfortunately it does mean that search isn't working yet (I'm switching to a new one called Namazu anyway) and the page counters are doing funny things.
| [1] | Although I may have to swap back again to a table based layout - I still have issues with IE. |
| [2] | Although a kind chap called Nicola Larosa put a lot of work in helping me. |

The Old Blog Archives
There was so much ancient wisdom distilled into my old blog, that I couldn't let it just creep ignominiously into the pages of cyber-history. More to the point I'm still getting some hits from google with the old entries. Here are the archives of my previous Blogger based blog.
